I paint portraits in oil and watercolor from photographs or Alla Prima (direct painting from life). My portraits capture meaningful moments and memories of you and your loved ones (people and pets). In my 20 years as a professional artist and illustrator, nothing has brought me more joy than painting people’s portraits. I love the intricacy of capturing a person’s (or a pet’s) likeness and enjoy conveying their personality on the canvas.

To start the portrait process please download my current price sheet below or send an inquiry via email. I will work with you to find a good, clear photograph with strong lighting, crisp details, and focus. I’ll work up a sketch and send it to you for approval. Once you approve the sketch, I create the painting using archival materials resulting in a portrait that will last for generations.
